Hannah (Open Adoption)
It was the hardest decision I will ever make, but the most peaceful one. At 4 1/2 months pregnant, I put the "I's" away and saw my baby as priceless. I trusted God in my decision and when I met her adoptive parents, I just knew.
I have a very open adoption relationship with my daughter and the adoptive family.
Lauren (Closed Adoption)
My relationship with the birth father ended before I realized I was pregnant. I chose life for my baby, but I did not want to have an ongoing relationship with my baby or the adoptive parents so I chose a closed adoption.
I value the confidentiality of my choice.

I was only 18 when I learned I was pregnant. I knew I wanted a mother and father for my baby and I also wanted to continue my education. Through the agency, I interviewed 3 families and found the perfect family for my baby.
We have a very open relationship, which I cherish.

I was 40 when I realized I was pregnant. Having already raised a grown son, I did not want to start over; however, I wanted a great life for my baby. I chose a childless couple to parent my baby and I am content to receive pictures and letters from them on a regular basis.

Finding out that I was pregnant at 19 and after being date raped was not the dream I had envisioned for myself in becoming a mother. I was so scared, unstable, depressed, and unsure of what to do. I knew I loved my baby, and wanted the very best for her. I decided to place her with a family that I felt could give her everything I wanted for her.
At first it was very hard and I chose to have pictures and letters sent to the adoption agency. I chose to receive them when I felt ready, and after that, Also, I found a peace with my choice.
Seeing how happy she is and getting the most wonderful letters from her parents gives me such joy!
